For those who like a tipple, Christmas is the perfect excuse to break out the sort of refreshments that rarely see the light of day at any other time of year. Eggs seem to be involved in an awful lot of Christmas drinks. If you can add egg and/or cream to alcohol you’ve basically got the festive season sewn up. Of course you can also omit the alcohol completely and still have a delicious treat for the non-drinkers. And also, presumably, a large glass of water by the side of your bed for when you wake up in the morning and want to drown yourself in the toilet. This drink is absolutely awful. It initially tastes like Cherry and Sugar and then you seem to get an after taste of Paracetamol. In theory a drink made from Advocaat and lemonade, a Snowball is, more often than not, actually a small bottle of fizzy yellow stuff that tastes a bit like thin bubbly custard. This is nicer than it sounds.
