About this deal

For starters, connecting the Sena 50C with other intercoms was surprisingly enjoyable. I reached out to friends with Sena 50R units, and with one simple press of the mesh button, we were all connected and chatting away. Pairing with other devices had never been so effortless. The audio experience is decent, with big dips to the audio quality once you ride above 50 mph (80 km/h). Still, if you are riding below this speed, you will hear a nice balance of bass and treble at play.

If possible, try on motorcycle helmets that are open-faced so that you can carry out simple tasks like drinking water with ease without taking off the helmet. Fill up a bottle of water halfway and use it as if it were an ordinary glass or cup after putting on your new helmet. Its intercom is designed with a pair of riders in mind. The range is 0,5 miles (800 meters), which is not a lot. But, if you take into consideration how a pair of riders might ride, it makes sense. This helmet will work for you just fine and will give you decent battery life with limited connectivity of upto three riders at once.Using most of the Bluetooth 4.0 technology, you can connect the 20S Evo to a maximum of 7 different headsets. Once you pair with other riders, the intercom range will be 1,2 miles (2 kilometers). The best thing about this intercom system is that all eight participants in the intercom group can talk simultaneously. Most connectivity issues that were here at launch were fixed with subsequent firmware updates by Sena. Thank you for sharing your experience and knowledge about mounting a communicator on a helmet. It is true that the mounting position of the speakers and microphone can affect the usability of the device, especially if it depends on right-hand operations. It is helpful to know that starting with the connector on the left side and installing the short cable and speaker on the left can make it easier to use for left-handed individuals. The FM Radio function is a nice extra, activated with a button press combo and then using the jog dial to seek between stations. To be honest, the reception can be hit and miss, with static often creeping in. I also found most stations way too chatty, full of commercials and plain distracting when riding.

If the most important thing to you in a motorcycle Bluetooth headset is the intercom connection range and stability, the most recent outing from Sena will scratch that itch. Sena 30K is a robust intercom device, with the Natural Mesh technology implementation that performs incredibly well.We tested the TCOM-SC in rainy conditions, and it worked regardless of riding in the rain for 5 hours. This Bluetooth headset features an IP66 waterproof (more like water resistance) rating to thank for that. The sound quality of the base speakers is decent, with a reasonable balance between bass and treble. There is also an advanced noise control capability that can provide you with ambient sounds outside your helmet. If you are in the market for a decent and affordable Bluetooth helmet, then the Freedconn BM2-S will surpass most of your expectations. To start with, you need to install the battery inside the helmet by pulling the red latch which opens the groove of the battery housing.
