About this deal

Standards Bluetooth Ver. 4.1 (Bluetooth low energy) Operating frequency [Center frequency] 2402 - 2480MHz

Snapshot modes on the XF10 or GR series, and zone focusing in general, assume that 1.) you're good at estimating distances, and 2.) you're okay with images that aren't perfectly sharp.Burst Shooting allows you to select the best frame from footage shot in 4K at 15fps and save it as an 8MP JPG. It is useful for fast moving subjects such as a dog jumping to grab a frisbee. The XF10 offers 4K video recording, but only at a platry 15fps, which leads to some seriously jerky footage. Thankfully it can also record full 1080p movies at 60fps, 50fps, and 24fps with stereo sound. There's also high speed recording between 1.6-4x, but only at 720p HD quality. If you're wondering where on earth the video shooting mode is, it's buried at the bottom of the Drive menu, accessed via the dedicated button on the rear of the camera. It should really be on the shooting mode dial...

No, actually the lens isn't especially good, particularly when compared to the direct competitor, the Ricoh GRII.One thing you’ll likely not need to worry about are lens corrections. While some of this is no doubt down to clever processing rather than the quality of the lens alone, it’s difficult to see images affected by vignetting, distortion or chromatic aberration, at least not to any objectionable degree at all. NP-95 Li-ion battery (included) Battery life for still images*4 Approx. 330frames Actual battery life of movie capture*4 *Face detection is set to OFF 4K: approx. 55 min., FULL HD: approx. 70 min. Continuance battery life of movie capture*4 *Face detection is set to OFF 4K: approx. 75 min., FULL HD: approx. 120 min. The XF10 also has a slightly slower maximum continuous burst speed than the X70 (6fps vs 8fps). At 3fps, it appears that the X70 has a much better buffer than the XF10 as it can shoot up to the capacity of the card in JPG mode. (The XF10 slows down after just 13 frames according to the official specifications.)

At a minimum, the Ricoh GR III will have a very good lens. And ideally it will have a lens equal to the extraordinary lens in the GR I and GR II. Good for: Street photographers using 'snap focus', landscape shooters looking for a lightweight photographic companion and generalist photographers that have enough experience to work around the camera's limitations. So far I had only one worry about how I will manage to go without an EVF. What can you say about that?I'm sad to hear this as it's so close but AF beeps when it's wrong is always frustrating and unforgivable. I'm surprised Fujifilm didn't improve on this in firmware patches as they have often done before. Even specifically about revised AF algorithms. Now, OK, nobody wrote that the pictures weren’t good, but handling, controls, focus performance, speed… were supposed to be so poor that Fuji was all but requested to take it off the market.

Fast forward to today’s announcement of the Fujifilm XF10 and it’s true that what we have isn’t so much a successor to the X70 as a more minimalistic and affordable version with a few small updates to bring it up to modern standards. Curious to find out more about the differences between these two premium X-Series compacts? Then keep on reading! Specifications they share: shutter speed is 30 seconds and there's also a Bulb mode for exposures up to 60 minutes in length, which is excellent news if you're seriously the great build and elegant honed metal controls with the most direct implementation of program aperture\shutter priority and manual seen todayThe only kind of connectivity the X70 has is WiFi, which is enough for most purposes in all honesty.
