About this deal

Almost 600 years ago in the Belgian village of Hoegaarden, a band of monks developed this unique recipe. Prior to this new recipe, wheat beers were quite sour; that is, until the Hoegaarden monks started experimenting with orange peel and coriander from the colony Curaçao: a divine discovery that led to the world-famous Hoegaarden recipe and unique citrus flavor.

Hoegaarden is a beer that seems the representation of a style, the Belgian Witbier. It’s significance as a beer has somewhat waned as most do when they are so widely distributed. People claim that Hoegaarden is not as good as it once was but I do not agree, I still think it is a fantastic beer and still the best example to give to someone and say “this is what a witbier is”.
