Bushmills has applied for approval to make a Peaky Blinders-themed whiskey, despite a five-year legal dispute rumbling on between Sadler’s Brewhouse and the production company for the hit Netflix show. The new whiskey is the result of a collaboration between Bushmills, Endemol Shine North America, which holds the global licensing rights to the show, and Caryn Mandabach Productions, producer and brand owner of Peaky Blinders. Proximo Spirits, which owns Bushmills, made the application to the US Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau in January 2022.

Now, in partnership with the very much real Endemol Shine North American and Caryn Mandabach Productions, Bushmills has released its Prohibition Recipe Irish whiskey, in celebration of the release of the show’s final season in the United States.
