About this deal

Vodka’s alcoholic content usually ranges between 35-50% by volume and many vodkas are 40% alcohol by volume (80 proof). I have just looked in my freezer and this is what mine is. Their Crème de Fleur gets distilled from six different kinds of flowers. After the distillation process, more flowers are added in an extra maceration step to bring even more floral notes into the liqueur. You’ll add a splash of pomegranate juice to the Paloma-standard grapefruit soda and a good amount of sparkling rosé.

This delicious, syrupy rosehip liqueur will continue to mature although it tastes fantastic from the start. It makes a lovely homemade gift, but I bet after you try it you won’t give a drop away! Rosehip berries are the beautiful red fruit of the rose (Rosa) bush. All roses and their fruit are edible, although flavour varies depending on the variety. We are fortunate in that we have lots of wild dog rose bushes growing in the hedgerows around our house and they have an excellent flavour. This easy-to-prepare recipe combines Tequila Rose with cake vodka and frozen strawberries to create a mini drinkable dessert. Vodka that contains 50% vodka (100 Proof) is also fairly common in some parts of Europe and Russia. Apparently there is vodka of 20% (40 Proof) but I do not think that we have much of this in Australia. Some vodkas may contain as much as 95% alcohol (190 Proof) – apparently the Poles like it strong. This simple and unique recipe takes Tequila Rose and blends it with fresh strawberries and Greek yoghurt to create a refreshing and creamy frozen treat. The vibrant sweetness of Tropical Gold pineapple and aromatic notes of passion fruit balanced perfectly with smokey French VSOP Cognac and 3 Kilos Vodka for an exceptionally smooth yet daringly bold experience.

In some recipes the petals are left in the alcohol/syrup mixture and then strained at the time of serving. I left some petals in my last batch of rose liqueur and the petals partly dissolve and this is why you may notice a layer of sediment in the jar in the photo. Does it still count as a smoothie if you replace yogurt with rosé? Probably not, but this is too good to miss. We know it sounds simple, but sometimes just enjoying the liqueur itself is enough to satisfy your nagging sweet tooth. This simple hazelnut liqueur recipe only takes minutes to prepare but results in a deliciously rich and smooth nut flavoured liqueur that is perfect for gifting.Rosehips are traditionally harvested after the first frosts, which is said to soften them and improve their flavour. The Tequila Rose Strawberry Kiss is a light drink that combines the classic pink beverage with chocolate liqueur and light rum. Elderflower is a famous ingredient for floral syrups or juices in central and northern Europe. The taste is sweet and distinctly floral, with a hint of acid. In fact, describing or comparing its taste is sheer impossible. You have to try it yourself. The French 75 is usually pretty tart and very strong. So this rosé version is ideal for anyone on the hunt for something light, elegant, and mild.

For this shot all you need is a cold bottle of Tequila Rose, fresh strawberries and whipped cream – it’s really that easy! The primary alcoholic ingredient in Tequila Rose is tequila, and what else is that used to make? Why, margaritas of course! Place rose petals a clean jar, add alcohol, close and keep in a cool dark place for at least 2 weeks.Strawberry Shooters were made to capture the essence of a chocolate-coated strawberry – with the shot combining Tequila Rose, chocolate liqueur and cake vodka with a splash of light cream. Rose hips contain plenty of vitamin C, and before imported fruit and veggies were available, rose hip syrup was used to treat coughs and colds. The base spirit is made from molasses, which is also reflected in the rich, slightly sweet, and complex taste. Further, the molasses base makes this floral liqueur a perfect match for aged spirits like Rum. Wash and clean the rose hips, (I do not top and tail them but I do avoid any fruit going into the glass when serving. If you do like the fruit in the glass then top and tail). Mix with a tablespoon of caster sugar and let them stand in cold place over night. Subtle notes of rose and Turkish Delight, with a soft bitter twist. Top up with tonic or Champagne”

If you love floral aromas but aren't a fan of overly sweet liqueurs, this Poppy liqueur might be your perfect choice. My vodka is 40%. The alcohol is the preservative and you will need to entirely cover the petals. The alcohol will not be wasted. Remember to make sure the rose hips are fully covered otherwise they will ferment. Allow room for shaking.
