About this deal

I was born on the 20th of October 1974. My mum was Jessie Limond, my dad was Billy Limond and my brother was David Limond. And I’m Brian Limond. Post moderation is undertaken full-time 9am-6pm on weekdays, and on a part-time basis outwith those hours.

I love Limmy and really enjoy his humour, but this was just so beyond what I enjoy reading lol Of course, I didn’t expect jokes constantly and I honestly really enjoyed his view on mental illness and being human, even when his writing got very dark at times. What kinds of things do you think boys have to deal with today – do you think the experience is the same for them? Limmy: Drink fight was no joke". the Glaswegian. I expected this to just be some f-ing nutter out of touch comedian trying to cash in on his 15 minutes, but was pleasantly surprised by how down to earth he was. I found myself reminiscing on my own childhood and adolescence at many points, and laughing heartily at many others. Very relatable, but definitely not in your face about it. Highly recommend.

But he gave the boy a slap. A good one. Then the mum let the boy go, and dragged her son away up the road. Users who reposted Surprisingly Down to Earth, and Very Funny: My Autobiography, By Limmy, Read by Limmy

You’re obviously into your social media. What would have happened if you had it when you were a teenager? In 2014, Limmy had a regular segment in the second series of the Charlie Brooker news satire show Weekly Wipe. He is also known for his live webcam chats, in which he interacts with fans and makes music. [19] In 2015, Limmy wrote his first book titled Daft Wee Stories, published by Random House. [20] [21] To promote the book, Limmy embarked on a UK book reading tour. Three of the stories were also published in The Scotsman newspaper. [22] [23] In January 2016, Limmy performed four nights at the Clyde Auditorium and one night at the Hammersmith Apollo, adapting material from this TV shows to become Limmy Live! [24] On 1 May 2017, he released his second book of short stories, That's Your Lot, embarking on a similar UK book reading tour to his first. [25] [26] Rowat, Alison (11 April 2020). Retrieved 29 December 2021.There was this classroom with a piano in it, and every week or so we were to go along to it, where there would be this teacher that would teach us music. We’d learn a few instruments, and we’d sing a few songs from some songbooks she put out. I didn’t like singing; I felt too self-conscious. But I especially didn’t like singing the song we always did at the end. Welcome to the world of Limmy". The Scotsman. 13 November 2006. Archived from the original on 8 December 2013 . Retrieved 13 June 2020. The book that Lloyd Cole, from out of Lloyd Cole and the Commotions, famously described on Radio 4 as showing "intelligence of some kind", this is as honest and as readable an autobiography as you are going to find. From a literary point of view, it is not great, it is not particularly elaborately written, or even funny, but it is not meant to be, it is meant to be Limmy talking honestly about his life. And five stars for that.
