About this deal

But some positives: while the fight at the end was longer than necessary—let’s be real, so many of Joe’s monologues could have been cut and we’d follow along just fine—there was some good writing there as they slung insults at each other. Still wish he killed her. I’m not going to pretend that FYAOY is for everyone, or even everyone who enjoyed the first book; it’s not. It has a jerky start getting off the runway, and the ride’s a little bumpy for the first third.

Unfortunately, Candace didn’t make it out of Joe’s clutches alive in the first book of the You book series, which is one major difference between the two stories. At least the TV show let her live until the end of season 2! However, that’s close to where the major differences stop. While we all thought You season 4 would take place in Paris, where we find Joe Goldberg in the final scene of the third season, it looks like he has another city in mind... London.I’m still so thankful to have this greatest opportunity to have a chance to read this book before the release date as a die hard Goldberg fan ( as it’s tattooed on my left shoulder! ) Charlotte Ritchie will play Kate, the new female lead in season 4. Kate is a fearsomely smart, loyal, independent, art gallery director. Kate's cultivated life gets shaken up when her boyfriend Malcolm invites Joe into their upscale world, and she is immediately suspicious. Instead of getting irritated by British snobs, Joe finds himself to barely communicate with a bunch of American, artificial intellectuals. He’s the only pure talent, joining in the pretentious, know it all circle of privileged author wannabes and he is the only one who didn’t graduate from a college! Wait a minute: he’s not the only one. A peculiar girl slurping her Chocolatta steals his thunder! Nice to meet you Wonder! The final act of You Love Me sees Joe recover from his wounds and marry the latest object of his desires, Mary Kay. Following the suicide of Mary's husband, Joe is free to pursue Mary, who inevitably falls for his charm and overt attentions. You Love Me seems to be heading for a picturebook ending, with Joe and Mary hastily tying the knot before disaster befalls the couple. Her teenage daughter kills Mary Kay in a heated argument, during which she is pushed down the stairs and falls to her death. To compound matters, Joe is then informed that his marriage to Mary Kay is not legitimate at the end of the book as they had not booked an officiant for their wedding. This ending is still very much on the updated cards for You season 4, with another disastrous end to a relationship a fitting way to round off Netflix's latest inevitably tumultuous You installment. Joe is done with love. He has written a novel and been accepted onto a prestigious program at Harvard University. He is going to focus on his craft.

Thank you to Random House publishing and NetGalley who provided me with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. All the thoughts and opinions are my own. A short recap of my reactions to Joe Goldberg and the You book series and Netflix adaptation. SPOILERS ABOUND. The times I use the word boring -probably too many times. I am sorry. Synopsis: Last but not least, the fourth book of the You series isn’t out yet, but is expected to be published at some point in 2023. The title is For You and Only You, and here, Joe takes on a different role after nothing really worked for him. Instead of selling and repairing books as he has done so far, Joe managed to join a writing fellowship at Harvard University. I seriously love being inside Joe Goldberg’s head and I’m not sure what that says about me. It’s fine… My issue with this one is it was so slow and long. I would say it took 50% of the book for something to happen and then it would take off and then slow down again. So much potential but then fell off.

When we get to my Tesla you take the wheel - this is your town, not mine - and you drive like a Masshole. No turn signals and no regard for life." Just like the Hidden Bodies book, season 2 of the TV series ends with Joe engaged to a pregnant Love. Sadly, the wedding will have to wait, because at the end of the second book, Joe is in jail! The series on Netflix is announced to release first half of new season 4 on February 9th ( yes, it’s earlier than this book’s release date) There’s a small difference about the location between new series and the book:

The plot was a little disjointed for me and hard to keep up with at times but the tone and voice of Joe and the constant humor kept me engaged as always throughout. I enjoyed the little gems about writing and the Joe banter. I remain a superfan of Joe and Caroline Kepnes, and can't wait to see what hey both do next. There’s going to be a lot more material for the You television series to adapt soon, as the book series is adding on You book 3 and 4!

I’m one step ahead of you, twenty feet behind you — and this is what I wanted from Harvard because what is class without a crush? It’s Good Will Hunting without the girl, and that’s what you are: the girl. I’m about to touch your shoulder and this is it. 3 . . . 2 . . . In the fourth season of You, Penn Badgley’s Joe Goldberg changes his name and starts teaching literature at a college in London. In For You and Only You — the latest novel in the book series upon which the show is based — author Caroline Kepnes also sends Joe to school. Except that in her version of the story, he’s actually a student. She continued by saying “Joe is really proud of himself because a lot of people in his position descend into darkness after having been through what he’s gone through in book two and then in the beginning of book three. And he decides that he’s going to be a better person and he’s very proud of himself for that. Having dealt with Love’s family and dating someone with this close relationship with their twin brother, he’s very focused on the idea that he should be the one with the family. But yeah, the main thrust of it is that he’s very proud of his strength.” When we finally do get to the ending, it's more like a wimper than a bang. So where does that leave me now? Honestly? I don't know. Should there be, I'm not sure I'll continue the (book) series. Although ... if the book series mirrors the show, there will be only one more and I AM a completionist (sometimes). *lol* But the road to happily ever after won't be so easy...not with so many obstacles in Joe's way. If he could just get Wonder to see the future HE sees...then maybe the past won't matter. But when a certain someone shows up with a LITTLE too much information about the paper trail trail of bodies Joe has left behind...does Joe have ANY hope of getting Wonder and keeping her from the truth...or even keeping himself out of prison?

Mental health is a topic that is increasingly in the spotlight, and for good reason. It's an essential part of our overall well-being, and early nurturing can set the foundation for a positive mental outlook in children. One powerful and...Greg Berlanti and Sera have always had a five-season plan in place for the show. How does it feel knowing they’ll be able to see it through with the upcoming fifth and final season ? Ryan Smalley of Modality recently shared his design concept for the next Surface Book, and frankly, we’re here for it. Inspired by the new iPad Pro, his concept gives the Surface Book 4 a similar floating screen that’s anchored to a chassis with two hinges – one for the familiar laptop form factor, the other to give it that floating effect. Both hinges in this design are height and angle adjustable for even more viewing and use versatility. Joe meets Wonder at a fellowship at Harvard, they are both writers who have written their own books (you go, Joe!), and they both received scholarships to attend, whereas everyone else in the fellowship is rich, privileged, and connected. He sees Wonder wearing a tight graphic t-shirt and it was love at first sight.
