They remain sharp for years and are generally more durable than other chain types. It has rubberized grips which does make this a very comfortable saw, which when you’re cutting for a few hours, this is great. There isn’t a lot of negative in this chainsaw, there are really only two things that do drag it down a bit. The chain that comes on this saw is of very high quality, that on it’s very first day cutting. I spent easily over 6 hours cutting pines and it was still really sharp. The pines themselves were about 14 inches in diameter, so this saw also has the power. While it’s not as powerful as something like the Stihl MS 251, it still has plenty of power under the “hood”.
