About this deal

The articulation between the different instruments and voices occupying this range is very good, without any interference or "disturbance" between them at any moment. The mids on this IEM are surprisingly smooth but also have a body to them. It’s not as pronounced, but it’s really organic and has a warmth to it. The CHU come with a non-detachable cable, which may be a deal-breaker for some. The fit is also iffy, as the earpieces tend to drop out of the ears, with the fixed cables tending to yank them out. These two sets are complementary – the Tanya are more analogue sounding and are best suited to chill and relax, whereas the Zero are more analytical, cleaner, and leaner. Vs. Moondrop CHU The product is easy to amplify, even without a dongle. Of course, it is always advisable to use one to make them shine a little bit, otherwise they remain as a fairly regular product.

The CHU are tuned to Moondrop’s virtual diffuse sound field (VDSF) tuning philosophy (their in-house variant of the Harman curve). Treble is nothing to write home about; it’s present and smoothly rolled off, but that’s an area many cheap earphones fail at. Sibilance tests. Here there is no sibilance but no natural sparkle either. It’s a safe presentation and the right choice for an earphone at this price point because while this treble doesn’t wow, not killing my ears is a perfect trait. The timbre of these headphones is something that other companies should take note of. I understand that it's not a bold tuning as it follows the Harman curve, but the instruments are so well represented that despite not being the best IEM in terms of resolution/detail, they can be compared to others that are far above their price range thanks to the excellent execution of timbre. All the instruments in Vivaldi's "Winter: Allegro non Molto" - performed by Fabio Biondi - are excellently distinguished from each other, from the lead violinist to the cellos and double bass accompanying the rest of the violins. Regarding the silicone tips, I was surprised by the quantity included (6 pairs, counting the ones already on the IEMs). Some of these are "wide bore" tips like the orange ones (which retain better bass and treble frequencies), while others have a narrow bore like the light blue ones (which reduce treble frequencies without affecting the bass, resulting in increased bass emphasis). Doesn't require fiddling with the Equalizer (may be you'd want to pull down 8k hz a tad?). The e3000 definitely needs EQ, without which it can sound bloated / congested particularly on low powered sources Technically, the Chu are a hair behind, showcasing slightly worse imaging, instrument separation, and soundstage. These earphones/IEMs are designed to present how audio tech, typically associated with listening to music, can be used for two-way communications.

Here, my review is based on two parts. The first part is about the GadgetNMusic and the second part is the first impression of the IEM. BASS : Subbass is quite deep, also has great rumble, but HOLA's bass is more focused on the punch rather than rumbly type. Hi guys, I'm new to iems and I want to switch to them from headphones because earbuds are more comfortable to me than headphones for longer periods of time. I was wondering which of the two would be better for me, since they both fit into my budget and I've seen both be recommended for gaming. I mainly play fps games like Valorant, CSGO, and sometimes R6 and Apex, so things like footsteps and clear directional sound or a "wide area"/"field"? type of audio where I can clearly tell where enemies are, are pretty important for my decision. YMMV, as ear anatomy may play a part in ear tips modifying the sound signature. Some psychedelic-colored eartips are on show! Sadly, no foam tips are included. Cable Only if it had little more fuller bass it would've destroyed any earphone or headphones under 2k or 10000 rupees

Edge definition, layering, imaging, micro-detailing, and transients are superior on the Zero, though the HOLA has a deeper soundstage. The Tangzu x HBB Wu Heyday Edition IEMs – a collaboration with prominent reviewer Hawaii Bad Boy– followed after the resounding success of the original Zetian Wu IEMs.

I bought Salnotes Zero three days ago and I have to say I agree with you 100%. Unfortunately I didn’t came across your review before purchasing them because I wouldn’t buy them. Generally I think Headphones would make a better option for FPS as they give superior soundstage compared to traditional IEMs.Every time you reach for earphone/IEM cables to connect them to your earphones/IEM, no matter how neatly you "wrapped" them up, they end up in a giant Gordian knot of frustration. Tangled cables are the bane of modern existence, and everyone owning a wired pair of earphones/IEM can attest to this.
