It did a number on my phone battery, which would often get too overheated to fully charge. However, this only really happened if I was charging my phone outside of my bag, and especially if I was using my phone. When I charged my device in a cooler part of my closed bag, it wasn’t as much of a problem. It was annoying not being able to fully charge my phone while using it, but it wasn’t a deal breaker. Give PowerCore’s internal battery a recharge using sunlight—even when charging your connected devices. For a faster recharge, connect a 10.5W wall charger (not included) to the Micro USB input port to get a full recharge in approximately 5.5 hours. The USB port is powered off while charging. It is therefore not possible to charge another device at the same time, thus no pass through charging. Slide-out the built-in phone stand to watch videos while charging. Note: Only wired charging can be accessed while using the phone stand. Use the included Micro-USB cable, your original cable or a third-party certified one (such as MFi); AC adapter not included.
