About this deal

The plot is much alike a minestrone (rather than a gourmet dish), only, one cooked with whatever was left in the fridge. Unplanned, or made up along the way in a rush, by throwing in a pot ingredients, attempting to create its flavour. It never pays off. Other mysteries begin to crop up from this moment forth. Nina hears of a woman named Teddy who she apparently looks like, and learns that the mansion from her favourite childhood book is a real place. But how are these things connected to Nina’s father? One thing to commend the author on – although others may disagree – is the limit she put on romantic affairs. For me there was just the right amount of reference to these relationships to provoke the feeling of heartbrokenness yet not to detract from the main storyline. Truly great butterfly years are the third good summer in a row – so the abundance of butterflies of in 1976 was helped by fine summers in 74 and 75,” said Oates.

Butterfly Summer by Anne-Marie Conway - review - The Guardian

I loved this book I couldn't stop reading, adventures wow fab! you have to read this book full of suspense and mysterious. This butterfly has spread northwards in recent decades to colonise East Anglia, the Midlands and almost all of northern England in response to climate change. Foodplants Last year more than 100,000 people took part in the survey, logging almost a million individual butterflies during just 15 minutes of observations. This year’s count ends on 11 August, and so, weather permitting, you still have a chance to take part. As Sir David Attenborough, the organisation’s president, has pointed out, doing so helps contribute to our wider understanding of the UK’s wildlife: “The Big Butterfly Count is about more than just counting butterflies – we’ll be taking the pulse of nature.” This is very different to what I’v read from Harriet before but it was a lovely surprise – a really unusual idea and I enjoyed getting to know all the women of the family.Whilst the summer is all about having fun, there is part of me that wants the kids to do a little learning as well and these Bug and Butterfly themed Learning and Sensory Activities are great with kids. I really adored this book I've never seen anything so touching, magical, mysterious and secretive all in one book. Amazing! This book took me into another world. Great thanks to the author for this fabulous book. I give it infinity and beyond score. This is a really unusual book – haunting and poignant in turn and a real trail to find out the truth of the past. I admit I found the idea intriguing from the beginning – like how one butterfly flapping its wings can change things and how we over the years try to make things right, change the course of events and the things we do to keep family together.

Plenty of characters telling different parts of a family history with a little twist as to how the family home was to be passed on. That I wish the ending of the book was longer or that more actually happened in the ending, rather than just being hinted at. This book is sensational. I'm lost with words! This book teaches us about friendship and rela life situations in that we can refelct upon them. It's a heartbreaking story and urges the reader to carron on reading. Butterfly Summer is truely the best book I have ever read, full of magical characters and places. It's good, but I don't know weather I like it or not. I guess it gave me nightmares. It made me scared but I don't know if that's good or bad!!! I'm really confused... It’s a beautiful book that moved me emotionally and literally couldn't put the book down. The concept of and the structure of the story is well thought 10/10.

Native wild flowers are often considered to be more suitable than non-native ones, but the real key is making sure there are nectar-rich flowers in bloom from April through to October Any of these Garden Party Foods from Eats Amazing would work – I’m going to be trying the dough ball caterpillars I liked that there were a lot of unforeseen moments and twists in the story. It was interesting to get to know all these different generations of Parr women and I really liked the inheritance fact of the story. The orange and brown wings of the comma are deeply scalloped to give an almost ragged appearance. On the underside of the hindwing, visible if the butterfly has its wings closed, is a small silvery comma-shaped marking. Where to find it This promised to be the most intriguing book that had been handed to me. I am always on the look out for books about friendship, family and forbidden secrets, but those of you who enjoy the sad, mysterious and slightly haunting will not be disappointed.I'm not really sure what I feel about this book to be honest. It's a saga of a tale which skips through generations of a family, where the females inherit the family home "Keepsake" but I found it quite slow to get going and the first half was actually quite confusing. I started to get lost between all the previous generations that were referred to. I received a copy of The Butterfly Summer from Hachette New Zealand to review. I can’t remember why this stood out to me but I’m glad it did. I found it quite easy to work out the plot and I could see how the story was going within the first couple of chapters of the book.

We’ll send you the latest news and information on our work, campaigns, fundraising, events and other ways you can support our vision for a thriving countryside. But we should remember that butterfly populations have always fluctuated from year to year, depending largely on the prevailing weather conditions. To assess these figures more carefully, we really need to look at the long-term trends, which are rather less positive. For many of Britain’s favourite summer butterflies, including the once-common and familiar small tortoiseshell, there has been a steady decline over the past 40 years or so. This is due to a combination of factors, of which the most serious are the intensification of farming, combined with a more general fragmentation and loss of habitat. The book had been moving along at a slow enough pace for me as there was a huge amount of setting up to do and then all of a sudden an event turned everything on its head and finally we got to the heart of the matter and I began to take more of a an interest in what was going on. Nina discovers there is a legacy, a heritage to which she has a right to as she is near to turning 26. Nina hears of the house Keepsake which is now rightfully hers, the question is does she really want it and all that it brings or is she happy to meander along in life a little bit lost and not quite happy with everything going on? Nina wasn’t a character that I especially warmed to, I felt she expected all the answers to be there right in front of her fairly straight forward and requiring no thought process. I wanted more of an element of discovery and uncovering the past on Nina’s part. It felt too dragged out in the present and bits of Nina’s so called journey went over my head. In my mind the story only got going when the past began to come to light. In autumn, leave fallen fruit on the ground: painted ladies and red admirals love feeding on the fermenting juices I think that butterfly summer will be fantastic and the it will lead to a good mystery. I love reading mystery storys it makes me happy and excited to read more and find out what happens in mysterious story's i do like adventures as well i think this story will be quit adventurous.
