About this deal

The first time I saw Catherine she was wearing a vivid crimson dress and was nervously leafing through a magazine in my waiting room. She was visibly out of breath. For the previous twenty minutes she had been pacing the corridor outside the Department of Psychiatry offices, trying to convince herself to keep her appointment with me and not run away.

In the end we finally find out some of the good messages from the Masters which I thought very good but it was all too little too late to save this one for me.

A graduate of Columbia University and Yale Medical School, Brian L. Weiss M.D. is Chairman Emeritus of Psychiatry at the Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami. Her religion was simple and unquestioned. She was raised to believe in traditional Catholic ideology and practices, and she had never really doubted the truthfulness and validity of her faith. She believed that if you were a good Catholic and lived properly by observing the faith and its rituals, you would be rewarded by going to heaven; if not, you would experience purgatory or hell. A patriarchal God and his Son made these final decisions. I later learned that Catherine did not believe in reincarnation; in fact, she knew very little about the concept, although she had read sparingly about the Hindus. Reincarnation was an idea contrary to her upbringing and understanding. She had never read any metaphysical or occult literature, having had no interest in it. She was secure in her beliefs. One of the most thought provoking books I have read. It gives credence to the ideologies of Reincarnation and makes one feel more peaceful about our purpose on earth and our life after death. Catherine's life in a small town had been easier than her life in Miami turned out to be, yet she was glad she had fled her family problems. Whoa, that was the longest review I've ever seen on good reads. You must have been pretty passionate, Jon, to have spent so much time on it. I have two questions for you though, are you a writer, an author, an editor? Have you personally met Brian?

My review only challenged the 'scientific' claims and 'facts' made in Dr Weiss's book, since he states he is a scientist and his book purported to provide "evidence" of reincarnation. This the book doesn't do, as I hope I have demonstrated. Miracles Happen: The Transformational Healing Power of Past Life Memories (2012) ISBN 978-0-06-220122-5 Moreover, Many Lives, Many Masters offers profound insights into spirituality, the nature of the soul, and the purpose of life. Dr. Weiss beautifully explores the idea that we are eternal beings on a journey of continuous growth and transformation, highlighting the interconnectedness of past and present lives. By delving into his patient's past lives, Dr. Weiss unveils the profound influence that these experiences can have on one's present circumstances, relationships, and emotional well-being.The experience of death is not uncommon in Catherine's hypnotic state, and it remains the same always, as it should. It has been described rather conveniently, with the soul descending up in bright light. A luminous floating soul is the most convenient image Dr. Weiss could have conjured up.

Our body is just a vehicle for us while we’re here. It is our soul and our spirit that last forever.” I” Everything must be balanced. Nature is balanced. The beasts live in harmony. Humans have not learned to do that. They continue to destroy themselves. There is no harmony, no plan to what they do. It’s so different in nature. Nature is balanced. Nature is energy and life … and restoration. And humans just destroy. They destroy nature. They destroy other humans. They will eventually destroy themselves.” This was an ominous” We must accept what comes to us at a given time, and not ask for more. But life is endless, so we never die; we were never really born. We just pass through different phases. There is no end. Humans have many dimensions. But time is not as we see time, but rather in lessons that are learned.” I went out to the waiting room to greet her, and we shook hands. I noticed that hers were cold and damp, confirming her anxiety. Actually, it had taken her two months of courage gathering to make an appointment to see me even though she had been strongly advised to seek my help by two staff physicians, both of whom she trusted. Finally, she was here. We also must learn not to just go to those people whose vibrations are the same as ours. It is normal to feel drawn to somebody who is on the same level that you are. But this is wrong. You must also go to those people whose vibrations are wrong … with yours. This is the importance … in helping … these people.”

This was an interesting one and a fast read. It kept me up late two nights in a row! You know, you have to read these things with an open mind, but also with a critical one. You can't just completely accept or reject what he has to say. His and Catherine's experiences about past lives are truly fascinating, and no matter how you feel about reincarnation, the lessons from the Masters about how to live are quite universal. In the end, it all comes down to love, patience, and forgiveness. Inner peace is impossible without patience. Wisdom requires patience. Spiritual growth implies the mastery of patience. Patience allows the unfolding of destiny to proceed at its won unhurried pace.” This one of worst books l'v ever read. Where is the scientific evidence that the auther insisted that he used throughout the whole book? Who are Catherine? he doesn't know anything about her and he insisted that she is not actresses or not making up anything, he doesn't even collect information about her?or asked any of her friends about her personality.
