The Bake Sale has brought people together, and this has given the students strength. And their achievements are admirable: they have raised 6,134 euros and State Secretary Gunay Uslu has popped by. She spoke to the students and was presented with a plate full of goodies. BakeForSyria was started by Lily Vanilli as an offshoot of the award-winning #CookForSyria to take action in support of the innocent children affected by the war in Syria. The first event took place in the famous Columbia Road London and has since captured the minds of school children, professionals and chefs all over the world. As Syrian and Middle Eastern inspired recipes flooded in, it made sense to share these beyond social media and in the form of a beautiful not for profit recipe book!
