About this deal

Mr. Duncan – Works Foreman. Sometimes the antagonist in the story, since he regards Bertha as an old inefficient machine. Captain Mildred is becoming bored of her day-to-day life of living on her boat she calls a home, so she decided to take her best friend Mary the Hover Fairy with her on a short holiday to the other side of the island, and decides that who arrives first on her ship will become acting captain. Unfortunately, that happens to be Edward, sleepwalking ... Charlie Chalk is a British stop motion animation series produced in 1987 in the United Kingdom by Woodland Animations, who also produced the children's television programmes Postman Pat, Gran, and Bertha. Reception to the show was mostly positive. The series began airing from 20 October 1988, Thursday afternoons on BBC1 part of Children's BBC for the first 10 episodes. The remaining three episodes of the series aired on BBC2 in a lunchtime slot. Charlie Chalk Fun Factory was a play area for little kids, found in large Pubs across the United Kingdom, now only found around Aberdeen. Charlie now lives in the jungle on wild and wonderful Merrytwit where he and his extraordinary friends are never short of adventures.

In 1987, Falcon released a board game using illustrations similar to those seen on the front covers of the photobooks. The game itself does not differ much from the Monopoly series of board games. If a player lands on T.O.M., they are allowed to ask Bertha to make an item for them.Charlie finds a treasure map and he, Lewis and Arnold decide to go looking for the treasure but become confused and fall out with each other. Arnold ends up finding the treasure after walking through the night. Bertha (stylised as bertha, with a larger lower case "b") is a 13-episode British stop motion-animated children's television series about a factory machine of that name that aired from 1985 to 1986. All the characters were designed by Ivor Wood, and the series was produced by his company, Woodland Animations. It was broadcast on BBC Television, [1] It was intended as a replacement to the Postman Pat series, until the second series aired in 1996.

T.O.M. – Talk Operated Machine, a robot resembling the Star Wars character R2-D2 designed by Tracy and built by Bertha to perform odd jobs around the factory. According to the song TOM the Robot from the episode TOM's New Friend and the Bertha 12" vinyl record, he is said to be Bertha's robot son. Postman Pat - "Ice Cream Machine", Bertha - "The Flying Bear", Ethelbert the Tiger - "Ethelbert and the Camel", Friendly Monsters - "A Monster Holiday", Fun Song Factory - "Happy", Little Red Tractor - "Circles in the Corn", Merlin the Magical Puppy - "Merlin and the Summer Fair", Postman Pat - "Postman Pat at the Seaside", Preston Pig - "Snout Scouts" Arnold is lovable - but very, very clumsy. So, it is no wonder, Lewis does not want to take him along on the treasure hunt. But, it is Arnold, who ends up finding the treasure!

A series of five storybooks based on Bertha was published by André Deutsch at the same time as the series was broadcast. They were adapted by Eric Charles and illustrated by Steve Augarde, who was also responsible for the artwork and music in the children's series Bump. [1] In 2011, Classic Media released a DVD entitled Fun with Friends: Volume One containing one episode of Bertha. Captain Mildred: The boss of the island (a parody of Margaret Thatcher), who loves to see everyone hard at work and has the practice of listing things that have to be done: "a: do this; b: do that" etc. She lives on the beached ship Buttercup.

Ted Turner – Chief machine operator (who shows a number of influences of the late veteran TV presenter Bruce Forsyth) All of the episodes on this Charlie Chalk video cut the closing credits out at the end of each episode except for the final episode Jumping Bananas.Arnold's Night Out would get re-released as part of the 1989 WHSmith video release Postman Pat and Friends (WHS 4301) and the 1993 BBC Video release Children's BBC Television Favourites (BBCV 5118).
