Barrier-free access, making it easier to enter and exit the tent without a step that could cause trips I would suggest that with this configuration there’s enough room for some furniture (table, lamp etc.) if that’s your bag. This space swallowed up our large double Self Inflating Mat (SIM) and super large/comfy double sleeping bag. The first thing that jumped out at me when I first saw this tent were the colours of the fabrics, certainly a big step away from the traditional Coleman Green. There’s nothing wrong with that colour, just that the Meadowood and other tents in this range (Castle Pines etc.) were so different, such fresh and light/bright feeling colours that they really got our attention. Built-in porches like this are perfect for family camping. They provide a wet-dry zone. This is an area of the tent you can leave wet coats and muddy boots, leaving the inner sanctum of the tent warm and dry.Empty the tent, take out the pegs and press the air valves. This tent was down fast and the air expelled from the air beams very well. Be sensible with the folding of the beams and the last of the air is expelled towards the open valves. All that’s left is to fold the tent to the width of the bag roll it up and pop it in. Easy thanks to the reasonable bag size. There’s a good sized, zipped electricity access point for getting power into the tent if you have an electric hookup (EHU).

Clothing & Footwear

Definitely a job that can easily be done by one person, and without feeling you’ve just gone 10 rounds with a wrestler. It went straight into the bag first time, no need to unroll, get more air our and then hope it fits into the bag. It was all very effortless, and most importantly stressless. div>

Be prepared for your camping trip to the great outdoors or festival with our guide on what to take. I also recommend getting the tent carpet that fits this part of the tent. A tent carpet will make it feel much more like home and make the tent warmer underfoot.As for space, you’ll see from many of the photos, we had furniture inside the Meadowood 4 with plenty of room to spare. A couple of big comfy camping chairs, foot stool and a table make this a great place to relax and read a book, watch a movie etc. and those colours we mentioned help make this feel like an airy and refreshing living space. Plenty of windows (with blinds) and 2 big doors (with mesh), which we will discuss in the next section in more detail, making this a very functional and versatile tent. And while talking of doors, all the doors into the inner part of the tent have a bug-free mesh that can be zipped into place, allowing you to get a fresh breeze into the tent on warm summer days, but keep the flies out. This feature-rich Meadowood 4 Air tent is a tunnel-type construction supported by 3 inflatable beams instead of classic poles. So this is a sort of fast pitch system but different from the system of the same name that they use in some other tents with classic poles. The position of the air beams is shown in the picture below (the red tubes). Fast Pitch Air system. To pitch this tent, we recommend two people. Having two adults available is not easy if you have to look after young kids, but a second person is occasionally needed. It is possible to pitch this tent single-handed, as I've done many times with similar tents. But an extra pair of hands helps :-)
