About this deal

It has been a while since I have read anything by Cecelia Ahern, being her first foray into YA Dystopia I was interested too see how she would spin it.

This approach makes Celestine feel more real and relatable (most people aren’t rebels who fight the system) and adds to the book’s tension. We genuinely don’t know what Celestine will do next. On finishing this book I was lost for words, speechless. All I could think to say consisted of a string of inappropriate and incoherent expletives. My mind was blank. All I could think about was the next book, when it would come, what would happen. Cecelia was nominated for Best Newcomer 2004/5 at the British Book Awards for her debut novel PS, I Love You. She won the 2005 Irish Post Award for Literature and a 2005 Corine Literature Prize for her second book Where Rainbows End, (Für immer vielleicht) which was voted for by German readers. In 2006, she was long-listed for the IMPAC award for PS I Love You. Cosmopolitan US honoured her with a Fun Fearless Fiction Award 2007 for If You Could See Me Now. Irish Tatler awarded her Writer of the Year at the Woman of the Year awards in 2009. Cecelia's fifth novel Thanks for the Memories was nominated for Most Popular Book in the British Book Awards 2008. Cecelia was voted Author of Year in the UK Glamour Women of the Year Awards in 2008.Overall, this is an intriguing as well as captivating story which will make the readers anticipate till the very end. And as for me, I simply adored this book and am looking forward in reading the next book in the series.

Flawed centers around a young girl named Celestine, who lives in a dystopian world where everyone is forced to be perfect, or is punished by getting their flesh branded and be Scarlet-Letter'd with an "F" armband for "Flawed."The storyline in this was pretty good, although it did remind me of other books that I had read in places. I thought the idea of branding people as ‘flawed’ was interesting, but the system did seem a little open to interpretation, which is kind-of what was happening in the story anyway. Hello Yellow - 80 Books to Help Children Nurture Good Mental Health and Support With Anxiety and Wellbeing - On the street outside, the mother of the Tinder family and Celestine's piano teacher, Angelina Tinder, is dragged away by 'Whistleblowers' in front of her friends and neighbours, deemed flawed by the Guild.
