About this deal

Why not go portable with Powered Lift-Away? This upright instantly transforms into a portable vacuum cleaner. Simply lift the main unit away from the wand to enjoy free movement around your home. You can comfortably clean stairs, ceilings and even in the car. Added Features There are three power modes to choose from (Eco, Standard and Boost), plus you can choose between carpet and hard floor modes, which adjust the speed of the floor head. Clean your home effortlessly with the Shark Cordless upright vacuum cleaner. Equipped with powerful technology and a bagless design, the ICZ300UKT is perfect for homes with pets. Easy Cleaning

It's somewhat quieter in eco mode, but both the floor head and motor are still notably louder than some other cordless vacuums we've trialled. Enjoy an amazing run-time of up to 60 minutes† per charge. The removable battery can be charged anywhere. Easily see how much battery life you have remaining with the LED Smart Display and simply switch between 3 suction levels and 2 floor type settings. †In ECO Power Mode, with non-motorised tool. And unlike the Dyson, the display doesn't work while the vacuum is charging. So you have to rely on three less precise indicator lights on the battery to know when it's fully charged. There’s a large 0.6-litre bin on this model, which should see you around an average house without having to be emptied. It’s easy enough to pull out, and opens at both ends to make it easy to clear dust and to clean. In the box, Shark provides a crevice tool, pet tool, dusting brush and upholstery tool. That’s all that you’ll need, although it’s a shame that there’s no onboard tool storage with this model. Shark does provide a tote bag to put everything in, though.

The Shark ICZ300UKT is a brilliant cordless vacuum cleaner that’s capable of a whole-house clean

Go portable with Powered Lift-Away to easily clean stairs and soft furnishings, up high, in the car and underneath furniture. Includes 3 attachments for effortless whole-home cleaning. Like many of Shark's corded and cordless models, the IZ300UK is fitted with a flexible cleaning tube called Flexology. This means the vacuum conveniently slots underneath coffee tables and sofas, helping you clean those hard-to-reach areas. It weighs 6.2kg / 12.4 pounds which is acceptable especially given that it’s bottom-heavy. It also disassembles, so when cleaning high places, the majority of the weight doesn’t need lifting overhead as it can be carried in your other hand. That said, it is an expensive choice, so if you live in a home with only one type of floor you may not need to invest in something with DuoClean or the power to clean different two types of floor. About this review, and the reviewer

Performance is excellent, with Standard mode cleaning a path through my spilt rice grains, with nothing dropping out at the end. As with most vacuum cleaners, this model has two filters. The main filter is easy to get out, but the HEPA filter is a little fiddly. Both filters can be washed to keep them working at optimal efficiency. Performance In testing, the Shark ICZ300UKT performed extremely well. The soft roller is by far the best tool vacuum cleaners have at their disposal for collecting larger particles, because they trap them without crushing and guide them gently towards the suction tube. On both carpet and hard floor, the Shark gathered all 26g of a 26g Cheerio spill in a faultless, virtuoso performance. With a 60 minute running time, you can get through whole home cleaning on a single charge. When it does run out, a three and a half hour charging time means the Lithium-Ion battery will be ready to use again in no time. Three power levels ensure no dirt or dust is missed while the 0.6 L dust bin lets you enjoy fewer trips to the bin. Battery life is quoted at 60 minutes, although this is on Eco mode with a non-motorised tool. The floor head shaves off a few minutes. Switch to Standard mode, and you’ll get over 30 minutes of run-time, while I found that Turbo mode pushed this down to just over 10 minutes in my tests. The Shark makes a lot of noise, so it's not a good choice if you tend to vacuum while others are asleep or working from home - even if they're on the other side of the house. It’s also a bit of a fiddle to remember how to release all the various bits and bobs. Where the wand meets the top of the main unit, there are no fewer than five different buttons and release catches to separate everything, from the hose to the collection bin. It’s all well labelled, but I still found myself having to pause and think about which blue catch to press to release the collection bin.
