About this deal

The pads tuning wise don't change a lot, you get a little card that shows the FR comparison which is fantastic to include. Companies need to include FR graphs more often. But the scaling is a little odd and it doesn't list the rig they used.

Reddit Audeze Maxwell First Impressions : r/Audeze - Reddit

The mesh pads do perform a bit better in games but they do something slightly odd that almost makes the headset slightly less detailed. If you mainly are using it for games and like the feel of the mesh more then use them. But in general, I'd recommend using velour pads. These earbuds boast the sort of audio quality you’d expect from the team at EPOS, whose hardware is on our top gaming headsets list, with deep bass, rich mid-tones, and fantastic directional audio making them as impressive playing games on your Switch or PS5 as they are listening to your favourite tunes through your phone. Plus, a charging case comes with the GTW 70 Hybrid that can give the earbuds up to a total of 20 hours of battery life. Weirdly the FR isn't tuned to either of the 2 traditional ways gaming headsets are tuned. It’s not v-shaped for immersive fun and it doesn't really have any tuning quirks of a competitive fps headset. It's not bright, it doesn't have slightly forward mids, there is no big bass roll-off. It's very much tuned for a musical tonal balance.

Disclaimer: A special thanks to Drop.com for sending the PC38X out to me for review. As always, whether products are sent to me or not, I do my best in being 100% honest with my views and opinions. If I don't like a product, I will refuse to write a review of it, or at the very least mention what I don't like about them, though I like to focus on products that people would like or at the very least are interested in. The only bias I have is to my readers and making sure they know about good products. I use this primarily with my PS5, plugged into the controller, and it works really well. One thing to note is that the cable comes with a L-shaped plug, which is not the most convenient when plugged into the controller, but it's not a big deal. Before I say anything of the PC38X's build quality, I have to tell you guys that I will be reiterating a lot of what I've said on the GAME ONE review (with some pasting of some statements), as the PC38X shares most, if not all design and build aspects, save for color scheme and outer cup grill design. I believe this design started with the PC360, then moved on to the GAME ONE, PC37X, and finally the PC38X. "Don't fix it if it ain't broke" must be one of Sennheiser's favorite proverbs. They come with a USB-C dongle, allowing you to plug them into your Nintendo Switch and PS5, as well as a cable that will allow you to plug the dongle into a PS4, for example. On top of that, they also support Bluetooth, so you can sync them with any device that supports it.All in, the fact remains that the GSP 670 is one of the best Sennheiser gaming headsets - and a seriously excellent gaming headset, period. Compared to the PC38x it's kinda strange. They are both priced the same, the HD58x is a downgraded HD6xx and the PC38x is an upgraded HD599 with a mic. Technical performance-wise they come close to each other. But the PC38x has an advantage as it's better in games. But the HD58x isn't that much better for music unless you prefer the smaller staging. So honestly overall I'd take the PC38x over the HD58x for most people I do find the mesh pad to be a tad more comfortable and more breathable, but the velour pad I think feels way better against your skin. First and foremost, this is an excellent headset. I am sold on this brand. If/when my current PC38x gives out, I will be buying a new one or purchasing the successor, whichever is out at the time. If you are on the fence - just buy it! Tutto sommato comunque le straconsiglio, soprattutto se riuscite a prenderle entro i 150 euro. Un paio di paragoni con cuffie che ho provato:
