About this deal

Jordan's anger and combativeness with managers and other front office types has its roots in this early stage of his life, driving his urge to prove to everyone he is not only better than they think but the best period. This is a book about the power of collaboration and teamwork, the awe-inspiring energy generated when people combine their creativity and passion and a fearless desire to lead.

Most of the old people around me like my uncles and grandpas used to tell me that Micheal is a gifted person. Michael Jordan talks about his life, his ups and downs, his NBA Career, teammates in the Chicago Bulls, his best rivalries, and also talks about his short period of his MLB career. The book also features photos from throughout Jordan’s life and career, giving readers an even more intimate look at his life.

Still, allowing the subject to have final review and editorial control all but ensures the most ambitious promises of The Last Dance can never be fulfilled. With Michael Jordan and the New Global Capitalism, Walter LaFeber has written a biography, a social history, and a far-ranging economic critique. As much as we’d love to see this material in the hands of a Pennebaker or Burns or Asif Kapadia, that’s simply a non-starter in an age where the titans of sports and entertainment can bypass traditional channels to control the narrative through their own production companies or friendly platforms like the Players’ Tribune, a trend which Jordan, it must be said, was decades ahead of the curve on. I always find that the most interesting things to learn about a celebrity or athlete are those random stories from a college room mate, or the fact that they are afraid of water (slight spoiler).Even Phil Jackson betrays him (and gets away with it) by being a key source about Jordan's caustic personality in The Jordan Rules. One can imagine Jordan pausing then realizing what his closest friends and his many fans realized so long ago.

i would recommend this to sporting players or people that have failed or struggled because this book tells the true experices in how anyone can fail, even Michael Jordan and how he still loved the game and his life and kept going and trying and so can anyone else. I really liked how they weaved commentary from Michael Jordan, Tinker Hatfield (The designer of the Jordan Shoes) and other people into the book. In his quest to reinvent himself, Jackson explored everything from humanistic psychology and Native American philosophy to Zen meditation. La forma de escribir del autor es tan certera pero, a la vez, tan amena que el libro se te va muy rápido. In addition to his individual success, Jordan’s presence in the NBA gave the league a new level of credibility and respect.
