About this deal

In the context of the album, "Within" marks the transition from the key of A minor of the previous three songs, to the key of B-flat minor of subsequent tracks. Bought a second copy this week, different variant of same press, slightly better but still unacceptable.

Todd Edwards commented that the lyrics of "Fragments of Time" were inspired by his desire to capture the moments he experienced during his visit to the duo's studio sessions in California. The ’70s songwriting guru Paul Williams punches in the performance of a lifetime on the irreducibly sweet “Touch. Recorded at Conway, Henson, Capitol, Electric Lady, and Studio Gang, Daft Punk and their engineers tracked the sessions to tape and Pro Tools simultaneously, built and edited songs in Pro Tools, mixed it almost entirely in the analog domain, and printed the mixes to both tape and hi-res digital before choosing the best sources for each track. When the music becomes focused on the effects that are being used or the presets of sounds, it's just computer – there's no soul there.Disc labels of the album feature the classic yellow and red Columbia design used on records during the 1970s and '80s, reflecting the album's theme. Subsequently, the elements were edited by the duo with Pro Tools in a manner similar to how they would work with samples. It combines disco, progressive rock and pop, with collaborations with Giorgio Moroder, Panda Bear, Julian Casablancas, Todd Edwards, DJ Falcon, Chilly Gonzales, Nile Rodgers, Paul Williams, Nathan East and Pharrell Williams. During the press junket for Mythologies earlier this year, Bangalter was eager to state that his communion with the machines was over. The duo produced most of the vocoder tracks in their own private studio in Paris, with later processing done by Mick Guzauski at Capitol. Bangalter and de Homem-Christo surely couldn't have foreseen a wave of cake-throwing as the direct ramification of Alive 2006-07, yet it provided the perfect opening for these upstarts-turned-scene-elders to splash cold water in the face of a rapidly overheating scene. Daft Punk spent four years and a million dollars of their own money making this, and it sounds like it.

B2: Published by Concord Music Publishing LLC for the world excluding France, Daft Music/Because Editions for France, BMG Onyx (GMR) / All Rights Administered by BMG Rights Management (US) LLC. The song's opening is a specific reference to a scene in the film in which the title character's voice is gradually enhanced in a studio booth.

As stated by NME, the album begins with "a stupendously vast rock intro that obliterates any trace of Human After All's brittle techno".

I have both and after some switching between records I felt I couldnt say anything definitive over the Turntable. To electronic fans who were switched on by the generosity and million-volt charge generated between Homework and Alive 2007, the move suggests a different binary: that of abdication over affirmation. The idea was really having this desire for live drums, as well as questioning, really, why and what is the magic in samples? working with contemporaries" and that they motivated each other to excel when collaborating on the album. He had first heard of Daft Punk through the music video of the song " Around the World", which introduced him to many aspects of electronic dance music.
