About this deal

The “villain” of this tale is gone, but was Richard all bad or was there more we will never know, questions we can never have answers to? Told from the alternating perspectives of three women, Suzi, Elle, and Nora, it is immediately apparent that all is not as it seems in the lives of these three women. Under the guise of working on their troubled marriage, Nick moves them out of London to a remote cottage in the country.

The Other Wife review: Michael Robotham and the father of all The Other Wife review: Michael Robotham and the father of all

There were way too many questions being asked in the character's heads and to me it should have been vocalised which would have made me give this book a higher rating. Pilcher was awarded the British Tourism Award in 2002 for the positive effect the books and the adaptations have had on Cornish tourism. I will add only that the obligatory pschopaths/sociopaths reign supreme with controlling cheating husbands, sympathetic-ish cheating wife, murders galore, some fun twists, and a delicious ending for those of you who like tidy little packages. The Silent Wife is the 10th book in Karin Slaughter’s Will Trent series, but such is her skill that it’s perfectly possible to join the story here, though be warned, if you do, you’ll want to go back to the beginning and discover just how Will and Sara (from her Grant County series) ended up together. But Hamilton soon starts to let us know that something might be a little off – Marie, fiercely justifying it to herself, starts lying about being pregnant.

Rosamunde Pilcher, OBE ( née Scott; 22 September 1924 – 6 February 2019) [2] was a British novelist, best known for her sweeping novels set in Cornwall. This is the first novel I've read by Kathleen Irene Paterka but now I am on the hunt to find her earlier books!

Wooden, and devoid of expression, (both voice and facial expression were lacking), it was on to a terrible start. During their inquiry, a prisoner, Daryl Nesbitt, tells them that a recent attack on a young woman looks exactly the same as the one he was jailed for eight years earlier, which means a serial killer could have been operating ever since.Obviously, the worst part would be realising that a serial killer had been operating for years without their knowledge. Perhaps it is several things, tolerance, balance and decency, all of them unravelling and transforming into one thing. You just can't help but feel compassion and empathy for both women as their worlds are turned upside down by the traumatic betrayal and selfish actions of a man that they had put their love and trust in. And so everyone go around playing their games, lying and manipulating those around them, only the men are made out to be the deviant, while the women are helpless damsels who are just kind of waking up to their circumstances.
