I’ve dedicated a chapter in my book to deconstructing what racism is, deconstructing what white privilege is and what they mean in everyday life. She tells me, however, that the stars aligned in 2020 – so she could finally speak through her first book.

Dr Shola Mos-Shogbamimu is a political and women’s rights activist, a lawyer and the founder of Women in Leadership, which publishes content focused on women's interests to inspire leadership journeys. And that’s why I address critical ongoing conversations around reverse racism, deconstructing white privilege, engaging on the tactics used to silence and stigmatise black people and ethnic minorities like, you know, ‘playing the race card’. Not only was she on the front line, she marched with passion and commitment, with her at the helm with us we felt we could make change and make anything possible. With a little help from her 11-year-old she has, as they say, taken to TikTok to help spread her messages to an audience used to a more transient medium.
