I am guessing she likes the story, because I haven't seen her for the past 4 hours ;)The book itself is lovely, comes in a nice hard cover edition and it looks amazing.

My best friend's daughter is mixed and I couldn't stop imagining her as Amari and how happy she will be to eventually read these books. But Amari is brave and cares for her friends, even when things are complicated, and she tries to make the best choices she can. I’m always nervous about picking up a sequel because they often don’t meet my expectation, but this was certainly not the case with AMARI AND THE GREAT GAME.

It was hard to put down this story with its fast-paced action, clever twists, and excellent writing. B. Alston is a genius and the Supernatural Investigations series is one of the most creative, immersive and well written children's books of all time.

This is sure to have you at the edge of your seat, cheering for the heroes and wishing you were there alongside them. I love Amari and her adventures, constantly learning new things about the supernatural world, herself, and others. Amari and the Great Game immerses you back into the vibrant supernatural world living hidden within our own. This challenge sparks the start of the Great Game, a competition to decide who will become the Night Brothers’ successor and determine the future of magiciankind. Suddenly, Fox and Fibber find themselves on an incredible adventure in a glow-in-the-dark rainforest full of golden panthers, gobblequick trees and enchanted temples.Since it's just setting up the cliffhanger ending, it doesn't have to try to rush an ending at least, so that was good too. This timely, energetic, first-person narrative moves quickly with clear descriptions, a thrilling buildup, and strong messages about profiling. This challenge sparks the start of the Great Game, a competition to decide who will become the Night Brothers’ successor and determine the future of magician-kind. The suspense created throughout the book was amazing, I loved it when we found out the assistant prez’s supernatural ability was to control people, it was AMAZING 🤩.

The world building is incredible, the history, the themes, the magick, the characters, it's all so freaking beautiful! She faces judgement and prejudices and she makes mistakes along the way: making her even more loveable and relatable in my eyes. They would also only drop off a case of books and leave us to run it – it was so lovely to have you on hand to chat to the children and recommend them books, as well as the small (but appreciated! I genuinely love this series so, so much - the plot is fantastic, the world building is perfect, and.But I have wanted to get to this one as soon as I finished the first book and the wait was well worth it. I also loved the ending and can’t wait to find out if there’s a next book 📖, if there is a next book, I know that it will be AMAZING 🤩! From page one i was gripped with the mystery of the time freeze and wanted to follow along on the adventure with Amari and her friends.
