Overall I think this is a nice scrub and I'm really enjoying mine, and while I normally avoid manual exfoliants because they can damage the skin, I do like this one and I recommend it. On the claims: yes this effectively lifts and buffs away dead skin cells and built-up dirt and grime; no I don't think it nourishes or hydrates the skin, but it is brightening; yes I agree that it's lightly abrasive but doesn't feel too harsh; yes it smooths, softens and revitalises the complexion; and yes I think it helps with congestion so it's good for blackheads and the like. It's a combination of my son deciding to become a threenager early back in March (he's only been accelerating since then), the weather and also the larger amount of work I've had on.
