About this deal

A brush tool for more delicate surfaces might not seem like it would belong, but let’s not forget, the wet-dry vacuum for your home will need to do many of the things that your regular vacuum does. Including removing cobwebs from your ceiling or dusty surfaces on cupboards. You may not need a hose that can hoover up tennis balls, but it’s better to have a big hose and not need it than need one and not have it. I won’t expand on that analogy any further, thank you. In the dry it has a hefty storage capacity of 15 litres and a wide range of attachments means it can switch effortlessly between different tasks. It really is a vacuum which can rise to meet just about every challenge you can think of. Anf finally all the accessories store on the machine itself so you can save yourself the hassle of finding a drawer to lose them in, they aren’t the best but they do come in handy. Considering the low price, the only real downside of this vacuum is that it only comes with a single extra tool (a crevice tool), although the dual action floor brush is great for most tasks. You’ll also need to change the filters when moving between dry and wet modes, although this is a straightforward process.

saw the release of the “Henry Wet & Dry” vacuum (in some countries)… every feature is exactly the same as Charles. Maybe this will be the beginning of the end for Charles as a model :( With that said, we don’t think this vacuum is the right choice for everyone. If don’t really need a wet vacuum, then spending a bit less on the regular Henry is probably the better choice. Tools and Accessories As the name suggests, the Henry Xtra is just like the regular Henry but a little bit more. He comes with a host of different accessories and features which means he can cope with just about any job going. One of the great aspects of this is its allergy retention, which is great for those of us who start sneezing every time the dust gets agitated. Replacing filters can be an unexpected expense so if you think you will be getting a lot of heavy use out of your vacuum, consider getting washable filters for wet dry vacuums. They aren’t cheap but last considerably longer than the non-washable kind.

Frequently Asked Questions

There once was a vacuum called “Basil” who was just the same as James. Available in more colours but he was discontinued in 2005. The last Basil was an orange Halloween edition. Clean filters after every use. The owner’s manual will give you specific directions for your model. Keeping your filters clean will keep fine dust away from the motor extending the life of your vacuum considerably. The Hetty vacuum cleaner is identical to Henry in every way... but she is Pink and has very pretty eyelashes. In 2020 Numatic released Hetty in yellow too. The difference between Henry and Hetty Vacuum cleaners ends there. They are made with the same motors and tools and are designed for everyday dry use around the house or as a key member of many businesses. It’s been along time since Edward was made, fear not. Numatic now have the Henry XL who is exactly the same shape and size. Ideal form anyone who needs a larger capacity Henry. The Edward vacuum is just like Henry but he has a much bigger capacity. He is for dry use only and is a great upgrade if you own a business. All the Henry tools remain the same on Edward. He does however require the bigger Numatic NWM-2BH bags

Of course Charles also comes complete with a crevice tool, that is great for cleaning those hard-to-reach surfaces. Although due to the size of his hose you may not need to use this attachment as much as you normally would. It’s got an extra-large 30L tank that can handle even large spills and its suction power of 160 air watts is still enough to get all the leaves and other bits that end up all over your garage. But, it’s also got an auto-clean action to the filter to get any clogs out that have happened mid-job. It still needs to be cleaned semi-regularly. Fun Fact : Interestingly Hetty was not the first female vacuum by Numatic. “Wendy” was released in 1997 in a very limited number. She is green... yes green.. and is steel not plastic. Even so, there’s a lot of variation in suction power between wet and dry machines. A higher power usage also doesn’t always equal better suction, although the two are closely linked.
