About this deal

If you are using a drill, I would still recommend a right angle attachment to make it easier to screw things in. They definitely made it a whole lot easier, but without that I probably would have struggled for another 5 minutes or stripped the screws. In the spring of 2023, Reolink introduces its new lineup of fisheye cameras: FE-P as the PoE version and FE-W as the WiFi version. They are designed to offer 6MP crystal-clear images and a 360° panorama view. Therefore, the low light footage is a bit hit or miss and will depend on your placement and specific needs.

The 16x optical zoom will obviously make this outclass cameras with a lower zoom, but I can’t understate how impressive it is when you zoom in on something you can barely see with your own eyes. Pricy. For something that may have a bigger zoom, you are giving up several key features the original had: FOV of 96 degrees and spotlights. This may not be the camera for you if you want patrolling.

The user is a valid user with a valid pa*sword, I can login through webinterface of camera. But CGI does not really work. With my former E1 outdoor CGI calls were working, but I cannot use the PTZ features with CGI API because I always get an abiity error. With the zoomed-out view, there is nothing particularly special about it. The image quality is good, as you’d expect for an 8MP 4K camera. Zooming in shows you just how good this is; I zoomed in on some of the street signs around my property. To help users see further or more clearly while monitoring their properties, Reolink insists on upgrading its technology while keeping the products reliable, easy to install, and affordable. Ultra High Zoom: RLC-823A 16X Better for taking zoomed in photos or if you will be in a place where you may need to watch somewhere farther away (farms, acres of land, some industrial areas)

If needed I'm willing to privately share some videos. I would also find it helpful to be able to activate an option to be able to identify to origin of a movement. This would really help fine-tuning the settings and accuracy. Now often a movement is detected but I really have no clue where on the picture...Wenn die Bewegungserkennung deaktiviert ist, sollte auch keine Pushnachricht gesendet werden. Unnötige Cloudlast. Both the Windows and Android app provides a user-friendly interface for controlling the pan and tilt features and person and vehicle detection. Blue Iris / NVR Integration The optical zoom capability is the main difference between the RLC-823A 16X and the standard RLC-823A. The RLC-823A 16X has a 16X optical zoom, while the RLC-823A has a 5X optical zoom.

Micro SD cover screws will fall out. Best installed before placement. And are NOT easily replaceable. Beispiel: Ist der Fußgänger schneller beim Gehen (kein Sprint) verliert die Kamera permanent die Verfolgung!! Very hard to install. Unless you have great forearm strength, another person to help, and/or a right angle attachment for a drill, you will struggle to install. I’ve heard even the most experienced people have difficulty installing this. (Tip: try installing from above 😂) If I rotate the camera to focus down my garden path, it is perhaps a bit too dark to have the IR off. But again, with it on, there is some reflection. IR On IR Off The camera motor is quieter than the original 823a. I will do a little bit more testing in person, but through the camera it is much more tolerable and doesn’t overwhelm other sounds. While zoomed in it very quiet, with varying degrees. Speed also plays a big factor, 1 speed vs 25 speed is a big difference in sound.Reolink Duo 2 Series all have two identical lenses for a 180° seamless panorama without overlapping parts. Both Reolink Duo 2 PoE and Duo 2 WiFi feature 4K 8MP ultra HD and offer vivid color as well as fine details. With advanced person/vehicle detection and two-way audio, homeowners can get instant alerts on their mobile devices and respond to the coming person immediately. The camera supports motion-triggered, scheduled, or 24/7 continuous recording, with videos saved to a micro SD card, Reolink NVR, or FTP server. In Use / App Next I tried to get a token according to spec: curl -X POST ' http://192.168.178.39/cgi-bin/api.cgi?cmd=Login' The blue poker tool is to pop open the Micro SD card cover, and to push the Micro SD card in. (Screws do not fall out like original RLC-823a)

First thing I noticed was the lower field of view. It’s almost like always being zoomed in on 1.5x-2x. I have a lot of comparative views between my patrol points on the 823a and 823a 16x. It was a little disappointing, however I use this mainly as a patrolling camera, which just means more preset points. The RLC-823A 16X features advanced motion detection, allowing for accurate detection without a subscription. The camera can be set up to trigger recording based on person and vehicle detection. Unlike most of the recent Reolink cameras, this doesn’t switch to colour night vision when. I assume this is because the illumination wouldn’t be adequate enough for colour footage with such a high zoom. I'll keep this firmware on the camera for now, not sure if it also contains improvements on the pet detection which isn't working that well for me. During day time it recognises pets in 60% of the cases, during night time almost never. I have another static camera covering almost the same angle, that I plan to remove once the RLA-823 will be as accurate. This other camera doesn't have any issues with animals during day/night time. I will post updates on the license plate tomorrow night, I would tonight but it may not be the best idea walking around my neighborhood at 11 at night with a license plate in my hand. The mount holes are just a little too snug to push screws straight through, you can kind of do it at an angle however. Since you can’t push them on straight, I would recommend doing one screw first and then once that one is secure and screwed in, screw in the others. I will have to take some license plate pictures night vs day, but just the bit of testing done the night time quality “should” catch a license plate relatively well because of its reflective values. You can somewhat read the mailbox in both the clipped image and clear image zooming in. It is the zoom that’s the most impressive feature of this camera. My property is not best suited to this specific camera, but I placed it outside my first-floor office window facing towards the road. The best example is the small sign on the roundabout, which I would guess is about 75m away. Zoomed out, you can barely see it is there, certainly not read the sign. Zoomed in, the text is legible. The camera’s infrared night vision is capable of providing clear footage up to 80 meters (260 ft) in complete darkness.
